Hello and thank you for taking the time to look through my page.
We all go through those times in our lives when things feel more difficult or troublesome, and thoughts go racing through our minds leaving us feeling unsettled and exhausted. These thoughts can be about anything - from daily worries to a range of other difficulties connected to work, family or relationships.
It can often feel like you have a million tabs open in your mind, and it may be helpful to talk about your thoughts and feelings with someone outside of your circle of family and friends. I am here to help you address your problems with warmth, empathy, humour and understanding within a safe, supportive environment.
Working as an integrative counsellor, I use a range of different approaches to help you find a way forward in a way that is suited to you. We can focus on the 'here and now', looking at current issues and possible solutions, or work at a deeper level, exploring possible causes and patterns which may help to make sense of past experiences.
The length of your counselling sessions is dependant on many factors which are personal to you. I offer both short term counselling, which can help with symptom reduction, and longer term counselling if you would like to work at a deeper level and need extra ongoing support. However, we can discuss ending your counselling at any point.
Counselling is a personal process and it can be hard to know who to choose. For this reason, I offer an initial phone consultation so you can discuss any questions you may have, and to find out if my experience and way of counselling will suit your needs. It gives you a space to talk about what matters to you, and we can explore these at your own pace.
