Privacy Notice and Data Protection Policy
Your
privacy is very important to me and you can be confident when working Untangled
Minds Counselling, that your personal information will be kept safe and secure
and will only be used for the purpose it was given to me. This privacy notice
tells you what I do with your personal information from the initial point of
contact to the end of your counselling.
I
follow the guidelines and regulations of the ICO around the storage and removal
of client information, and any notes that I take during, or after, our sessions
will be kept securely, in accordance with GDPR (General Data Protection
Regulation).
I
will keep session notes for as long as you remain in therapy and thereafter,
for a period that complies with the BACP and my Insurance Provider, which is
currently five years.
It
may be necessary at times to share information with other agencies or
professionals to support you. If I am approached, I will ask for your written
consent to share information and will only provide the minimum information that
is required by law. We will always discuss this to work together to support
you.
If
you ask me to write a supporting letter, I will need your written consent
before doing so, and you will receive a copy of the letter before I send this.
By
signing this agreement to begin working together, you are agreeing to my terms
and conditions above.
